I absolutely hated the original collar. Should anyone decides to make the dress, the collar bands should be overlapped at shoulder seams and sewn in a V style. Hope you know what I mean.Juliette Esperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07503015448406369195noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5321352159727793019.post-74659395420669608352012-02-03T12:28:49.071+00:002012-02-03T12:28:49.071+00:00I love the combination of a military epaulets with...I love the combination of a military epaulets with a spacey fabric, great idea that I'm sure will get borrowed!prttynpnkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16513331416653286924noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5321352159727793019.post-43027422097985949862012-02-03T03:26:45.791+00:002012-02-03T03:26:45.791+00:00I love the look of this dress, it was worth all yo...I love the look of this dress, it was worth all your trouble! The military strap detail you added is definitely the finishing touch to pull this dress together, love it!Brihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04783823686564686418noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5321352159727793019.post-36742015108182334462012-02-02T23:51:06.207+00:002012-02-02T23:51:06.207+00:00I'm amazed you can blog your plans and finishe...I'm amazed you can blog your plans and finished dress in one day! Personally I have to wear dresses like this with a belt, but that is my shape - you can totally wear this style, but I agree you might take a bit of time to get used to it since it is so new to you. I thought the collar stuck out a bit on Burda's version too and so I love the addition of the shoulder tabs.AllisonChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07431369603470575306noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5321352159727793019.post-57405778252169151372012-02-02T19:16:49.559+00:002012-02-02T19:16:49.559+00:00Well, as I said, it will be used, I have to admit ...Well, as I said, it will be used, I have to admit - it is a good angle on the photo too. As for the fabric- I have a good bit left over, can't wait to make something else out of it.Juliette Esperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07503015448406369195noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5321352159727793019.post-69069709791477825732012-02-02T18:42:09.378+00:002012-02-02T18:42:09.378+00:00I think you did a good job and picked an interesti...I think you did a good job and picked an interesting fabric. Boxy dresses are just like that...boxy! I think most of us also prefer a little more shaping, but it's nice to try different things.Karinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06551387452771116176noreply@blogger.com
